Yes! It worked!!
Isn’t that the best feeling – when you decide to make something yourself, and it turns out like you wanted? It could be a birthday cake, a model train, a skirt, a song, or a game. It could be a small project or a large project. It could be your first try or the 6th variation on a theme. In any case, it’s so rewarding to make something!
About the Site
Hi! I’m Lynn. I make projects with things like paper, fabric, conductive thread, microprocessors, and code. Why do I do that? I mean who needs a collar for Fluffy that lights up when she wags her tail or shakes her head? Nobody probably NEEDS it, but wouldn’t it be cool if you could make it?
I have always enjoyed arts and crafts, although I haven’t always made time to do them. I loved it when my kids were little, and I had a reason to make a unicorn birthday cake, or stick glow-in-the-dark stars all over a bedroom wall.
I have also enjoyed my career in software development. Managing projects, prioritizing requirements, leading a scrum team, coding, scheduling, testing. It’s only recently that I’ve begun to combine the two. Although I’ve got some experience with a sewing machine, and I’ve done some programming, working with electronics is a new adventure for me. And just like any adventure, there are twists and turns along the way. Many times when I’ve run into a problem, I found the help I needed on someone’s blog, so I started my own hoping I can help someone too.
As I work through a project, I will write about my successes, failures, techniques that worked well, and those that didn’t, and mistakes I made (and how I fixed them!).
A few interesting bits about me …

– The best way for me to start the day is with a little (or a lot of) journal writing.

– I’m crazy about podcasts and have lots of favorites!
